2022 Toyota Tundra Throttle Lag and Hesitation from Stop – Class Action Investigation
Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against automaker Toyota relating to an alleged defect in model year 2022 Tundra vehicles.
Public reports and consumer complaints indicate that 2022 Toyota Tundras experience an issue that causes the vehicles to hesitate to accelerate and then jump forward from the stopped position. This is frequently called jolting, acceleration surge, hesitation, or “throttle lag.” Consumers indicate that despite pressing the acceleration pedal on their 2022 Tundras, there will be a delay in movement, followed by a sudden jolt forward, or a “throttle lag.” Some consumers report that the hesitation or lag is followed by a power loss.
Numerous complaints have been made about the “throttle lag” issue online including on Toyota and Toyota-related message boards. This issue presents an obvious safety defect and hazard for impacted vehicle drivers, passengers, and other drivers on the road as it creates the risk of rear-end collisions.
