Specifically, reports suggest that customers who sign up for 1-800-Flowers’ “Celebrations Passport” product are subjected to an initial charge of approximately $19.99 or $29.99 for the first year for benefits such as no service fees and free shipping, but after the expiration of the first year, the service is automatically renewed at $29.99. Per reports, the website fails to disclose this practice and obtain customer consent to the automatic renewals.
