Bangkok Airways Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

On 23 August 2021, Bangkok Airways discovered that it experienced a cybersecurity attack which resulted in unauthorized and unlawful access to its information system. The airline confirmed that the breach exposed the following information: name, nationality, gender, phone number, email, address, contact information, passport information, historical travel information, and partial credit card information.

Bangkok Airway’s failure to protect sensitive personal information may be a violation of data privacy and consumer protection laws.
