BioPlus Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot & Wolfson is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy Services following reports that unauthorized persons gained access to BioPlus’s network, exposing the sensitive health and other personal information of BioPlus pharmacy customers.

The breach reportedly impacted the following information: names, dates of birth, addresses, Social Security numbers, and sensitive health information (medical record numbers, current/former member ID numbers, claims information, and prescription and/or diagnosis information).

BioPlus’s failure to protect sensitive medical and other information can expose its customers to fraud and identity theft. These failures may violate consumer protection and privacy statutes.
