Ahdoot Wolfson, serving as lead class counsel in Rivera v. Google LLC, obtained $100 million for Illinois consumers whose privacy was allegedly violated by Google’s collection and storage of their unique facial biometric data in its Google Photos service. In addition to the $100 million settlement fund, Ahdoot Wolfson’s victory also required Google to limit its collection and storage of users’ facial biometrics for several years. This historic tech privacy settlement came after seven years of hard-fought litigation between the parties.
