Bank and Credit Union Unlawful Fees – Class Action Investigation

June 14, 2021 by

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating potential class action lawsuits against banks, credit unions, lenders, and other similar financial institutions that charge customers unearned and unlawful fees.

Banks and credit unions typically charge customers for certain services or as a penalty for overdrafts or other customer-related issues. While certain fees can be proper and lawful, Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating numerous banks and various reports indicating that some banks and credit unions assess improper, hidden, or otherwise unlawful fees. Such fees may include charges for overdrafts due to a bank improperly restructuring ledgers to cause an overdraft, unlawful fees on mortgage loans following closing or refinancing of a loan, and a host of other types of fees.

These practices and unlawful fees assessed by banks, credit unions, and lenders may violate federal and state laws, including consumer protection laws.

If you believe you are being charged with improper fees by your bank, lender, or other financial institution, please contact Ahdoot Wolfson by submitting your information in the contact form below, and one of our lawyers will promptly contact you.
