Chipotle Mexican Grill Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Ahdoot & Wolfson is investigating a possible class action lawsuit against Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. following the company’s disclosure of a significant data breach.
On December 23, 2025, Chipotle announced that unauthorized actors accessed Workday profiles of current and former employees between October 9 and October 26, 2025. By November 7, 2025, the company confirmed that sensitive personal information had potentially been compromised.
Information potentially exposed in the breach includes:
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Direct deposit bank account numbers and routing numbers
- Other personally identifiable information
This incident has raised serious concerns about Chipotle’s data security practices and the risks to affected employees, including identity theft, financial fraud, tax fraud, and other forms of misuse of their sensitive data.
Chipotle has begun notifying affected individuals. If you are a current or former Chipotle employee and received a notification letter about this data breach, or believe your personal information may have been compromised, you may have legal rights and be eligible to participate in a class action lawsuit.
