Employee COVID Screenings Unpaid Wages – Class Action Investigation
Ahdoot & Wolfson is investigating reports that employers are requiring employees to submit to off-the-clock mandatory COVID screenings in connection with employment and coming to work, but not paying employees for the time spent during those screenings. Employees who submit to health screenings do so in connection with their employment. When these screenings occur off-the-clock, it results in denied compensation or unpaid wages.
By not compensating employees for COVID screenings, employers may be violating state labor laws and consumer protection laws.
