Health Care and Rehabilitation Services of Southeastern Vermont, Inc. Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a class action lawsuit against Vermont based health care services provider Health Care and Rehabilitation Services of Southeastern Vermont, Inc. (“HCRSSV”), following news that it suffered a data breach. 

HCRSSV is based in Springfield, Vermont. In December 2024, HSCRSSV experienced a data breach involving unauthorized access to two of its email accounts between December 4 and December 9, 2024. According to reports, the breach may have exposed sensitive personal and medical information of clients and staff, including:

• Names
• Dates of birth
• Social Security numbers
• Financial account numbers
• Driver’s license numbers
• Health insurance information
• Medical history
• Patient numbers
• Medical record numbers
• Healthcare billing and treatment information

HCRSSV’s reported failure to protect sensitive information may violate consumer protection and privacy laws.
