Horizon Card – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Reliant Holdings Inc., also known as Horizon Card Services, and CEO Robert Kane relating to reports that it  deceptively marketed a high-cost, low-value membership credit card aimed at financially vulnerable consumers.

The allegations against Reliant include that it advertised what appeared to be a regular, general-use credit card, when in reality it was selling a nearly useless membership program that came with an extremely limited credit card that carried substantially mandatory fees that totaled hundreds of dollars annually for a credit limit as low as $500. Consumers rarely used the card or membership add-ons and most quickly dropped out of the program without making purchases despite Reliant collecting fees.
