PornHub Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Ahdoot & Wolfson, PC is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of individuals whose personal information may have been compromised in the recent data breach affecting Pornhub Premium users.
Pornhub, operated by Aylo (formerly MindGeek), is one of the world’s most visited adult entertainment websites, offering free and premium subscription services. The company recently confirmed a significant cybersecurity incident involving Mixpanel, a former third-party data analytics provider. Hackers from the group ShinyHunters claim to have stolen 94GB of data containing over 200 million records of Premium user activity. The breach originated from unauthorized access to Mixpanel’s systems on or around November 8, 2025, though Pornhub states it ceased using the provider in 2021. The hackers have sent extortion demands and threatened to publicly release the stolen data.
Information potentially exposed in the breach includes email addresses, locations/IP addresses, search keywords, viewed video titles, download history, activity types, and timestamps. Due to the extremely private and sensitive nature of adult website usage data, this incident raises profound concerns about privacy invasion, potential blackmail, sextortion attempts, reputational harm, and other forms of fraud or abuse. Our firm is reviewing claims to determine if Pornhub and Aylo failed to implement adequate security measures to safeguard user data, in possible violation of federal and state privacy laws.
