July 14, 2022 by

Ahdoot Wolfson is interested in speaking with individuals who received a notice letter from Professional Finance Company (known as PFC), or their affiliated healthcare provider, that their personal information was exposed during a recent data breach.

PFC reportedly provides debt collection services for thousands of companies, including many healthcare providers. On July 1, 2022, PFC disclosed that highly sensitive information from numerous client organizations was compromised in a ransomware attack in February 2022. The PFC data breach reportedly affects nearly two million patients of various healthcare organizations, with the compromised information including names, addresses, financial information, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, health insurance, and medical treatment information. PFC’s and its healthcare provider clients’ failures to protect sensitive personal and medical information may be a violation of data privacy and consumer protection laws.

If you received a letter or other notification confirming that you have been impacted by the PFC data breach, which may have come directly from your healthcare provider, please fill out the form below and one of the attorneys at Ahdoot Wolfson will promptly contact you.
