San Diego Family Care Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a data breach impacting California-based healthcare and health services provider San Diego Family Care.

On May 7, 2021, San Diego Family Care announced that a data breach impacting its systems potentially exposed current and former customers’ and employees’ highly-sensitive personal information. San Diego Family Care has confirmed that the potentially exposed data includes names; dates of birth; Social Security numbers or other government identifiers; financial account numbers; medical diagnosis or treatment information; health-insurance information; and client identification numbers. While San Diego Family Care has not disclosed the magnitude of the breach, reports indicate that it has begun to alert current and former patients and employees about the data breach.

San Diego Family Care’s failure to protect its customers’ and employee’s highly sensitive personal and medical information has jeopardized their privacy and exposed them to an ongoing risk of fraud and identity theft.
