January 12, 2023 by

Ahdoot Wolfson is interested in speaking with individuals who received a notification that their sensitive personal information may have been disclosed in a data breach impacting Pennsylvania-based nonprofit health provider Maternal & Family Health Services, Inc. (“MFHS”).

MFHS has confirmed hat it suffered a ransomware attack that exposed the personal data of current and former patients, employees and vendors. It became aware of the incident on April 4, 2022 but may have been initially compromised as far back as August 21, 2021.

Reports indicate that 461,070 people are affected by the breach. In a letter sent to affected residents on January 10, MFHS said that attackers accessed sensitive data, including names, addresses, date of birth, driver license numbers, Social Security numbers, usernames and passwords, health insurance and medical information, and financial information. The attackers also took credit and debit card numbers, the notification said.

MFHS’s failure to protect sensitive personal and health information may be a violation of consumer protection and data privacy laws. If you recently received a notice from MFHS indicating that you were impacted by the data breach, please fill out the form below and one of our lawyers promptly will contact you.
