PowerSchool Data Breach – Class Action Litigation
Ahdoot Wolfson is prosecuting class action litigation against Edtech giant PowerSchool relating to a massive data breach it suffered involving 62.4 million students and 9.5 million teachers.
PowerSchool is a cloud-based software solutions provider for schools and school districts that provides tools for enrollment, communication, attendance, staff management, learning systems, analytics, and finance.
On January 7, 2025, PowerSchool publicly disclosed a data breach in which a threat actor used stolen credentials to access the PowerSchool’s customer support portal. According to reports, sensitive information disclosed in the breach includes, for some schools and districts, Social Security Numbers, medical information, and grades.
