STIIIZY Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Los Angeles-based cannabis company STIIIZY following its announcement that the company suffered a data breach disclosing sensitive customer information.
In its notice to state attorneys general, STIIIZY disclosed that an unauthorized party accessed consumers’ sensitive information, including names, addresses, dates of birth, medical information, driver’s license numbers, and other government-issued identification. According to STIIIZY’s public reporting, the data breach affected a total of 380,000 people.
STIIIZY’s failure to protect sensitive customer information may violate state and federal consumer protection and data privacy laws.
