On March 1, 2024, the Court ruled that advertisers can proceed with most of their antitrust claims against Google. Ahdoot Wolfson, serving as co-lead counsel for the online advertiser plaintiffs, has successfully opposed key aspects of Google’s motion to dismiss the advertisers’ lawsuit.
In particular, the Court found that the advertisers successfully alleged that they suffered injuries from Google’s anticompetitive conduct on its ad-exchange market, the online marketplace where small businesses purchase Internet advertising. In addition, the Court denied Google’s motion to send the advertisers’ claims to arbitration, allowing the class action lawsuit to continue in the federal court.
