AT&T Wireless Data Breach
Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a potential class action against AT&T after it confirmed on March 30, 2024 that it suffered a data breach impacting more than 7.6 million customers and 65 million former customers.
AT&T, the largest wireless carrier in the United States, has confirmed that the following information of current and former customers was disclosed during this massive breach: names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and account numbers and passcodes.
AT&T previously denied it suffered the breach even though customers’ account information appeared on the dark web as far back as 2021. The company’s failure to protect sensitive information may violate state and federal consumer protection and data privacy laws.
