Block Inc./Square Payments Unauthorized Medical Data Sharing – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a class action lawsuit against the payment processing services of Block, Inc., commonly known and branded as Square. 

An email address provided at any business using Square to make a payment may forever be linked to your payment card without your informed consent. Once an email address is linked to your card, Square automatically sends receipts to this address whenever your payment card is used at any business using Square’s payment processing services. Receipts often include business names, payment details, information about the payment card, among others. 

Square’s failure to protect sensitive personal information, including medical information, may violate consumer protection and data privacy laws.
