MacBook M1 Laptop Cracked Screens – Class Action Investigation

September 20, 2021 by

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Apple Inc. relating to cracked screens in the Apple M1 MacBook Pro and M1 MacBook Air laptops.

According to numerous reports, the displays on both the M1 MacBook Air and M1 MacBook Pro are prone to cracking under normal use when opening or closing the laptops. Other times, the cracks just appear randomly for no apparent reason, only to be noticed the next time an owner returns to their MacBook.

Apple has denied any issues with the M1 MacBook screens, even going as far as blaming users for accidental damage. When consumers complain and present their MacBooks to Apple for repair, Apple will sometimes replace the MacBooks for free, but typically will provide a paid repair, which consumers must shoulder.

Apple’s sale of MacBooks with a screen cracking defect, which it knew or should have known about at the time of sale, may violate consumer protection statutes and other laws.

If you own an M1 MacBook Pro or M1 MacBook Air that has experienced inexplicable screen cracking, please fill out the form below and one of the lawyers at Ahdoot Wolfson will promptly contact you.
