NorthCare Hospital Medical Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

November 18, 2021 by

Ahdoot & Wolfson is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Oklahoma City-based NorthCare hospital following reports that a recent breach of its systems resulted in hackers accessing patient information.

NorthCare recently confirmed suffering a data breach involving 127,883 patients’ information. The company stated that it was affected by a ransomware attack, but did not pay the ransom. The breach occurred on May 29, 2021.

Information impacted during the breach reportedly consists of: “full name, social security number, addresses, date of birth, medical diagnoses.”

NorthCare’s failure to protect sensitive patient information can expose patients to fraud and identity theft. These failures may violate consumer protection and privacy statutes.

If you or your family member received a notification that you were impacted by the NorthCare data breach, you may be entitled to compensation. Please fill out the form below and one of Ahdoot Wolfson’s lawyers will promptly contact you.
