Pennsylvania State Education Association Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a class action lawsuit against the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) following news that it suffered a massive data breach.

PSEA filed a notice of the data breach with the Maine Attorney General on March 17, 2025. The notice confirmed that PSEA experienced a data security incident on July 6, 2024 and potentially disclosed the following sensitive information:

  • full names
  • dates of brith
  • Social Security numbers
  • driver’s license numbers and other state ID numbers
  • account numbers and PINs
  • security codes
  • passwords and routing numbers
  • payment card information
  • passport numbers
  • taxpayer ID numbers
  • usernames and passwords
  • medical information
  • health insurance information

The PSEA’s failure to protect sensitive information may violate state and federal laws, including privacy laws.
