St. Joseph’s College of Maine Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Ahdoot Wolfson is investigating a class action lawsuit against St. Joseph’s College of Maine following news that it suffered a data breach impacting 126,580 persons.
According to reports, the breach occurred between December 15, 2023, and January 24, 2024, and was discovered more than a year later on February 20, 2025. A notice filed with the Maine Attorney General indicates that the potentially disclosed sensitive information includes the following:
- names
- dates of birth
- addresses
- Social Security numbers
- payer identification numbers
- government-issued IDs
St. Joseph’s College of Maine’s failure to protect sensitive information may violate state and federal laws, including privacy laws.
